The Host

The Host
Marc Heckmann-Brünen has been active at Landhotel Stähle for over two decades and has been its owner since 2016. His journey has been shaped by many stages: training within the establishment, experience in other businesses, graduation from hotel management school – and ultimately, the conscious decision to take over and further develop Landhotel Stähle.

What distinguishes him is the balance between professionalism and personal connection. He is a passionate host, for whom personal contact with guests and staff is as important as a clear vision for the future.

Respect and friendliness
are the
foundation for everything.

A House with History

A House with History
Landhotel Stähle looks back on a rich history. What began in 1956 as a small tavern in the Stähle family’s living room quickly developed into a popular excursion restaurant – featuring tea dances, hearty classics, and the first French influences, inspired by Maria and Fritz Stähle’s time in Alsace.

Over decades, Landhotel Stähle was continuously developed with great dedication – transforming from a small inn into a place with unique character. The history of the establishment is shaped by individuals with a passion for gastronomy, a sense of quality, and the desire to offer guests genuine relaxation. Today, Marc Heckmann-Brünen manages the hotel with precisely this approach: personal, authentic, and with great respect for the history that lends this place its charm.
Philosophy & Approach
Philosophy & Approach
For Marc Heckmann-Brünen, being a host primarily means one thing: giving – and simultaneously gaining appreciation in return. He places great importance on authenticity, quality, and genuine encounters. Whether in the kitchen, in the room furnishings, or in the service – everything should be honest, genuine, and reliable.

It is not about grand gestures for him, but about the many small moments that leave a lasting impression. His approach is clear: Hospitality begins with respect and friendliness – and only in this way can a place be permanently created to which people gladly return.
